About Maria Crimi Speth, Attorney

Partner in Jaburg & Wilk, P.C.

Attorney Maria Crimi Speth received her law degree from Hofstra University. She is admitted to the New York and Arizona Bars. She currently is a partner at the law firm of Jaburg & Wilk, in Phoenix, Arizona. Her practice is devoted to intellectual property, copyright & trademarks, and litigation.

Ms. Speth has vast experience protecting intellectual property. In a recent case, she successfully defended a controversial website in multiple lawsuits against it, dealing with complex intellectual property and Internet issues.  In each case she forced the matter to be dropped, dismissed, or settled with the other side paying damages to her client. In another case, when a popular Utah magazine became the victim of copyright infringement and trade-secret theft, Maria stepped in to help, obtaining an injunction and damages and closing down the competing business within three months of filing the complaint.

Ms. Speth is very pro-active in her legal approach. As she is quoted on her firm's website, www.jaburgwilk.com , “I assist my clients in protecting their intellectual property through preventative measures to avoid disputes, and aggressive measures when disputes arise.  I communicate the complex intellectual property subject matter to my clients in a way that they can understand it and apply it to protect their most valuable assets.”

Ms. Speth is a featured member of IBI Global's faculty. She has presented seminars for the State Bar of Arizona, the Arizona Small Business Association, The Investors' Association of Arizona, National Business Institute, and Lorman Education Services, on Intellectual property, Internet, and trademark protection. She is frequent Guest speaker on TV and radio, addressing intellectual property protection topics.

“I enjoy helping businesses succeed and becoming a member of my client's team.  The practice of law keeps me interested, because I'm always learning about new businesses and strategies.”
